Carys’ Recipes

Recipe: Buckeyes

Ingredients:

2 sticks of butter

6 cups of powdered sugar

2 cups of peanut butter

1 package of chocolate chips

⅛ stick of paraffin wax

Method:

Mix softened butter, powdered sugar and peanut butter. Shape into balls and chill.

Melt 1 package of chocolate chips and ⅛ stick of paraffin in a double boiler.

Dip peanut butter balls into chocolate and cool on wax paper.

 

Recipe: No Bake Cookies

Ingredients:

2 cups sugar

3 tablespoons of cocoa

¼ cup butter

½ cup peanut butter

½ cup milk

3 cups oats

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method:

Mix sugar, cocoa, butter and milk

Boil for 1 minute 30 seconds (stirring constantly)

Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla and oats

Place spoonful’s onto wax paper to cool

 

Recipe: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

¾ cup granulated sugar

¾ cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 cups chocolate chips

Method:

Preheat oven to 375℉

In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt

In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract until creamy

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition

Beat in flour mixture gradually

Stir in chocolate chips

Drop onto ungreased baking sheets by rounded tablespoon

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Makes about 6 dozen cookies
