The newest album, titled “Stove,” by American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey is expected to be released in late January of 2026. Originally, the album was announced under the title “Lasso,” and later changed to “The Right Person Will Stay.” It was said to be released in September of 2024, but then delayed until May of 2025. Eventually, both of the expected release dates passed and there was no news from the artist.
However, Lana Del Rey recently explained that she decided to add six autobiographical songs to the album, which drastically delayed the release date. This album will be her 10th studio album and it’s predicted to consist of predominantly country music with an Americana vibe. Lana Del Rey stated that the songs in her new album would not be a “heavy departure” from her previous work, but that it would definitely be considered classic country. Many of her fans have been eagerly waiting for this new endeavor of hers to release since the original announcement of it, hoping it doesn’t disappoint.

Michael,” set to release on April 24, is a film based on the late American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson. Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, the movie is a musical drama and biographical film that has been described as an “honest portrayal” of Jackson’s life. Replicating Michael Jackson’s life of fame-along with some behind-the-scenes and personal experiences is actor Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s real life nephew.
Jaafar Jackson will lead us through the film as he plays the Michael Jackson that started out a part of The Jackson 5, and later became a global pop icon in the 1980s. The movie’s run time is said to be over three hours long, sparking rumors that it may be split into two shorter films. The production is made in cooperation with the Michael Jackson estate. It consists of 30 of his songs, as well as access to his music catalog. Many fans are exhilarated to see this new portrayal of Michael Jackson’s life of stardom when the film releases.

Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping:” Based on the 2025 novel, “Sunrise on the Reaping,” the film is set to release Nov. 20. The Hunger Games series is a dystopian, young adult fiction book and movie franchise that has been in the making since the first novel came out in 2008. The film “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” is meant to be a sequel to the latest addition to the series, “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” (2023). It takes place 24 years prior to the first film, “The Hunger Games” (2012). A young Haymitch Abernathy is the main character, and the movie is based on his story and experience in the 50th annual Hunger Games.
Although Haymitch isn’t thrown into a classical Hunger Game, he’s placed in the brutal “Second Quarter Quell,” which consists of double the original number of tributes. The storyline of the production is also said to explain the origin of the iconic mockingjay pin. Many fans were extremely appreciative of the novel “Sunrise on the Reaping,” so the film is expected to be just as fantastic.

Moana: Live Action”: Nostalgic for many, the “Moana” movie is receiving a reboot as a live action version expected to be released on July 10. The new film aims to be faithful and similar to the original Moana that came out in 2016, although the only actor that will be returning for the live action version is Dwayne Johnson as Maui.
The film is meant to bring the animated version to life, and enhance the viewing experience, especially with a predominantly Polynesian cast. Similar music is expected to be featured in the movie as well, such as “How Far I’ll Go” and “You’re Welcome.” However there is speculation of new songs as well. Many are excited to see “Moana” come to life through this new version, although some are already criticizing the film based on the trailers that appear very artificial and AI driven.
Despite the criticisms and changes to the live action movie, it’s expected to be a great experience for many, especially the younger generations.
