Boss ChickN is one of the most unique restaurants I have ever been to. At first, I thought there was a gluten-free menu, but I didn’t realize that everything on their menu was gluten-free. Rather than having a gluten-free section and having everything else be gluten, there is a gluten section while the rest of the restaurant is gluten-free. I ordered the four-pack of chicken tenders with fries, honey mustard and ranch. While the wait was a bit longer than I expected, there was a large party in front of us which was the explanation. The fries were crispy and had a sweetness to them which was unexpected but delicious. The chicken tenders were easy to bite into and there was a very good crunch to them without it being too difficult to chew. The breading on the chicken itself had a bit of spice to it but when it was coupled with the honey mustard and ranch, they provided a cooling effect that balanced the heat from the chicken. If someone were to tell me that the food was not gluten-free, I would believe them. I couldn’t tell there wasn’t any gluten in it which makes it an amazing option for those who cannot eat gluten and for anyone overall.

The City of North Canton is home to a plethora of chicken restaurants. Between Howlin’ Bird, Chick-fil-A and any other fast food chain, finding good chicken is not a difficult task. We here at The Viking Views decided to go all the way to BossChickN in Cuyahoga Falls to try their notorious chicken. One of the greatest perks of Boss ChickN is that it is entirely gluten-free. The breading on their chicken, buns and sides contains no gluten. I myself was surprised when I discovered this because the food didn’t taste “gluten-free.” The service there was incredibly friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. When ordering, they asked us our names and made sure our experience was enjoyable. We waited for nearly 40 minutes for our food which was a bit long in my opinion, but I think it was worth the wait. I ordered a two-pack of chicken tenders with their garlic Parmesan sauce and a side of queso mac and cheese. The chicken tenders were incredible. The chicken was very tender and the breading was perfectly crunchy. The seasoning on the chicken was quite enjoyable as well. When paired with the garlic Parmesan sauce, I personally was not a fan. The sauce didn’t have much flavor in my opinion and I probably would have gotten a different sauce. The queso mac and cheese was quite cheesy. There was also a little bit of a kick to the dish that I wasn’t expecting. I have a very low spice tolerance and I struggled to eat the mac and cheese, but I pushed through because it was very good. If you’re gluten-free or just looking for a good place for chicken that you haven’t yet been to before, I strongly recommend driving to Cuyahoga Falls to try Boss ChickN. While you’re there make sure to walk down the street and check out some other cute shops that line the street!

In Cuyahoga Falls sits the restaurant Boss ChickN. I have been eating at this restaurant for the past year and I love every meal I get. I got a two-piece fried chicken tender meal with a side of onion rings for this visit. Their chicken is super flavorful and juicy. The onion rings were crunchy and seasoned perfectly. I got the honey mustard, which was sweet and tangy to dip my chicken in for my sauce. My meal cost a little over $12 plus a tip. I have Celiac disease, which means I am unable to eat gluten. I have always loved finding restaurants that understand my disease and take precautions. All of the foods in the fryer are gluten-free, so there is no chance for cross-contamination. They also have a wide variety of vegan options. Besides the delicious food, the staff is incredibly friendly and tries to know you by name. The drive from Hoover High School is around 25 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Overall, I highly recommend everyone check out this restaurant!

I walked into Boss ChickN with high expectations because if the word “boss” is in your name, you have to be good at whatever you’re advertising. As soon as I walked in, the employees were incredibly friendly, even knowing a member of our party’s name from her past visits. I ordered a “Tupac” which came with two chicken tenders, a sauce, which I chose ranch and a side of my choice, which I went with the “queso mac.” Since everything is made to order, there was a bit of a wait, but as soon as I took a bite of my chicken, any annoyance of the delay was gone. The breading on the chicken was absolutely delectable and had the perfect amount of flavor, and the chicken was incredibly tender. The “queso mac” was extremely cheesy but had a nice bitey spice on it that canceled out the cheesiness. My only complaint was the lack of beverages. Other than water and adult beverages, there were not many options, and being a soda fiend, I was hoping for something to help wash down my meal. All in all, Boss ChickN is a great place for a nice, casual, sitdown meal and is worth the drive.
