What’s new in Florida? Well, let me tell you, as of May 22, 2025, an all-new Epic Universe will open at Universal Orlando Resort. The new Universal features five theme parks, including Celestial Park, How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic.
At the center of the park will be Celestial Park, which serves as a gateway to the other parks. It consists of many shops, beautiful gardens, bars, restaurants and two signature rides, Constellation Carousel and high-speed Stardust Racers. One of the other parks, Super Nintendo World, transports guests into the feeling of being in a video game. The two themed areas are Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country. Super Mario Land includes Yoshi’s Adventure and Mario Kart, both inspired by the popular game.
Another cool addition is that visitors can collect digital coins, just like coins collected in the game, using wristbands. An additional exciting park is How to Train Your Dragon. This park is full of dragons, some of which can even walk, move or talk. When you first enter the portal, the first sight is the lagoon with Viking and dragon statues. This park has Hiccup’s Wing Glides coaster as well as the Dragon Racer’s Rally and Fyre Drill. Both are play areas for kids with options for food and drinks. The next park is the Dark Universe.
As you arrive, you are taken to the village of Darkmoor, a spooky theme with monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein and many more. Great highlights include a spooky graveyard, the Curse of the Werewolf roller coaster, and the Burning Blade Tavern. Finally, the last park is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It starts you out in Paris, with beautiful buildings around.
There is a cute French restaurant, Cafe L’Air de la Sirene, with amazing appetizers. The best part is the awesome ride, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. This ride takes guests from Paris to the British Ministry. It takes everyone through a magical elevator car that goes through the witch’s trial.
