I think music is one of the most important things in not just teenagers, but anyone’s lives. For me personally, music is a great way to not only decompress but also helps me stay focused. I think that I speak for a lot of students when I say that it’s much easier for me to study or do homework while listening to music. Music is really versatile, in my opinion, in the way that no matter what you’re feeling, there’s always something to fit your mood. I think music is a really big part of self-expression and many people pride themselves on their music taste because it’s a big reflection of themselves. I personally think that music plays a huge role in my life particularly because it helps me to find calm in any situation. If I couldn’t listen to music while I’m working, I don’t think I’d ever get anything done quite frankly.

I listen to intense music when studying or doing schoolwork. This energizes me & allows me to focus & throw myself into my work, allowing me to complete more quickly, leaving me more time to relax without stressing out about all the things I need to study. Plus, unless I’m at a concert or the like, I’m not really the type who can just sit for a while & listen to music, so this gives me an opportunity to listen to my favorite songs while also getting some work in.

Personally I find music so relaxing when doing homework or even projects that aren’t due for a week. Music helps a lot with my focusing when I do homework while listening to music I can get so much work done. My favorite thing to listen to is country music from 90’s to today’s country. I currently love listening to Zach Top’s song I Never Lie and Ladies Love Country Boys by Trace Adkins and many more.

It makes me focus on the music rather then what is going on in life. The music I go for is Rock music like Genesis. And rap music like Tupac.

Listening to music usually makes me tap my foot quietly or nod my head, and the extra thing to do with my body is good at helping me focus, since doing mindless tasks helps me focus personally. Also, listening to some songs can make me feel relaxed or positive, which might help. The kind of music i like is soft jazz, indie, soft rock, and vocaloid.

Music is like an escape or a happy place when I am having a stressful week which is a lot of the time with school. Music is like having someone to talk to but not a physical person. To de-stress I focus on genres that can calm me down or give some sort of dopamine to cheer me up. This includes genres like Indie, country, pop, or spiritual Christian music to put me in a good mood.

Listening to music helps me pace myself and hold focus during particularly long assignments, or times when I feel demotivated. I have a lot of artists with slower songs on my playlist like Mitski and Beabadoobee because sometimes I need to take it down a notch.

Music helps my stress to release itself, as it helps me focus on other things, therefore taking my brain off the matter or subject. The main artist I listen to when I am stressed or I´m just doing something is MGK, I´ve listened to him over the years since I was a baby and I have built a special bond with him and his music.
