“The FBI and the Office of Ghana’s Special Prosecutor (OSP) are looking into the assets and financial transactions of embattled former minister Cecilia Abena Dapaah and her associates in the US,” according to BBC Oct. 11, 2023. The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) is investigating former Ghanaian sanitation minister, Ms. Dapaah, and her associates over $1m in cash at her residence. The money was discovered after it was stolen by domestic staff, and Ms. Dapaah called the police. She was forced to resign when Ghanaians and MPs questioned the source of the money. She has filed an application in court to stop the OSP from investigating her and her husband, but denies all allegations. The investigation is ongoing.
